Steampunk Invasion of Bisbee 2018 This Year’s Sundowner Specifics Quite a special Sundowner Event is planned for this year’s Steampunk Invasion of Bisbee. The League of Pythean Metachronists and Explorers of the Paraverse would like to welcome you to a High…very High Tea in the far reaches of the Mule Mountains. Beneath the looming Heoliograph Peak we once again offer to guide our distinguished visitors to an afternoon of colorful commentary and delightful refreshments in our high mountain camp.
The Explorers League will provide transportation to and from the camp as well as ample provisions and of course protection from the elements at the main camp. For those robust individuals seeking adventure, we will provide a short outing into the wilds… more of a “hunt” if you would, to seek out the source of a mysterious scientific phenomena discovered by Dr. Thadius Phul. It is strongly advised that our guests do outfit themselves appropriately for adventure in the high country.
Togs and footwear suitable for light to moderate bushwacking will be required. Likewise Sun Protection (i.e. hats, etc.) as well as suitable rehydration flasks and accoutrement are strongly advised. There will be water at Base Camp, but once in the wilds your only sustenance will be that which you bring with you! Meanwhile at Base Camp the distinguished Madam Askew will be hosting more civilized affairs, but even here we do advise that those that remain behind, maintain an appropriate level of watchfulness, and light weaponry would still be advisable… just in case!
The expedition will assemble at 12:45 near your hostelry, and will depart for the high terraces and cliffs at 13:00 sharp! With luck and good fortune the group will be returning no later than 1700 back to Bisbee and to an extravaganza of LIVE Irish music and the Bisbee Street Fair!
